Background

Chichester Vedic Cultural Society (CVCS) is Hindu religious and Cultural society in Chichester set up in 2009. We work together with the local community for a good cause and hold cultural events and also do charitable work.

Although have started as a common platform for all Asian Hindu community in this beautiful countryside of the United Kingdom, we aspire spreading the millennium old Vedic Sanatan values to the wider community. We have started involving the local society for last few years. We have been consistently receiving positive supports from the Hon. Mayor of Chichester, Hon. Mayor of Crawley and Hon. Chairman of West Sussex County Council. With the wider support we have now initiated free cultural and educational awareness sessions for small children.

There are curently no places for Hindu worship (Temples/Mandir) in Chichester. We need the support of the community to help us accomplish this dream in future. However, the nearest temple (Mandir) from Chichester is at Havant. This is BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir situated at 9 Leigh Road, Havant PO9 2ES. Prayers every Tuesday eve. Whereas, Neasden Temple is situated 105 Brentfield Road, Neasden, London NW10 8LD. Vedic Society Hindu Temple is in Southampton (SO14 0PS).
