Chichester Vedic Cultural Society (CVCS) has been always grateful to the Chichester City Council as we have been blessed on various Hindu Cultural Festivals and occasions by the presence of its Mayors.
It was in the year 2014, when CVCS organised a gala Navratri festival at the firebrigade roundabout in Chichester, that we were blessed with Mr David Siggs, Deputy Mayor of Chichester City Council. This was followed a year later in 2015 by presence of Mr Peter Budge, Mayor, Chichester City Council.
In the year of 2016, it was for the first time that CVCS in its history was blessed for it’s Navratri festival by the gracious presence of 2 Mayors. Mr Peter Budge, Mayor, Chichester City Council and (Late) Mr Raj Sharma, Councillor and Mayor, Crawley and Southgate.
it was in the year 2017 that CVCS was blessed again by the presence of 2 Mayors. We had the gracious presence of Mr Peter Evans, Mayor, Chichester City Council and Late Mr Raj Sharma, Mayor, Crawley and Southgate.
Words will be incomplete without expressing our gratitude to (Late) Mr Raj Sharma, Councillor, Crawley Borough Council, who was always helpful to CVCS and helped it to nourish and grow from its budding to its current state. He was a guiding soul for CVCS. His presence and golden advice in future events will always be missed. We sadly lost him on 12th January 2021 due to Covid. He will always be in our memories for guiding us all these years.
