Chichester Vedic Cultural Society has organised Indian Classical Dance workshops for several years. Vidya Thirunarayan, a professional dancer and artist has contributed her selfless service for the children in our community and have inspired children as far as Portsmouth, Southampton to come and participate in Dance workshops.
All these years have been special for the children to present their dance knowledge to an encouraging and supportive audience within an appropriate cultural context. The children enjoyed showing off their skills in typically colourful traditional outfits and were doubly delighted to present it to special guests such as the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Chichester.
Vidya has been a boon to the local community, teaching children from as small as 5 years up to their teens and adults.
